Valerie Fleury Babin

Valerie Fleury Babin passed away peacefully, surrounded by her children and family members, on Monday, June 24, 2024, at Clarity Hospice of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at the age of 67. She was born on Thursday, January 24, 1957, to Evelyn and Rene Fleury, Sr., in New Orleans and resided in Baton Rouge.

Valerie was an amazing mother, caring sister, and beloved daughter.  She loved spending time with her family and friends, while also caring for others.  She loved baking, cake decorating, and cooking with her sister, Angela, her daughter, Jessica, and her grandkids.  Most of all, she loved all her grandkids, making sure every birthday and holiday was special for them.  She was the life of the party and the glue that held the family together.

Valerie is survived by her children, Torrey Fleury, Jessica Cobbs, Ariell Cobbs, Kentrell Cobbs, and Travis Cobbs; brother, Rene Fleury, Jr.; and sister, Angela Batiste.  Also survived by 16 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; and many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her parents, Evelyn and Rene Fleury, Sr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Service at Revelations Deliverance and Outreach Ministry, 705 Veterans Blvd., Donaldsonville, Louisiana on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 10:00 am.

A reception will follow at St. Catherine of Sienna Multi-Purpose Center, 421 St. Patrick Street, Donaldsonville, Louisiana 70346.
