Thomas F Shurley

Thomas F. “Tommy” Shurley passed away peacefully on Monday, February 10, 2020, at his residence in Ponchatoula, at the age of 71.  He was born on Tuesday, July 6, 1948 to Alma Henson and Gary Shurley in Chester, South Carolina.  Tommy was a tree surgeon and the owner/operator of Sibley Tree Service.  He was the hardest working man anyone has ever known.  Tommy was willing to do anything for his family and friends, anytime, anywhere and at any cost.

Tommy was a fantastic husband to his wife, Minnie “Eloise” Sibley Shurley; stepfather of Johnny & Liz Hoyt and Randy & Bonni Hoyt; brother of Freda and Jean; and wonderful Pawpaw of John, Charlie, and Brandon Hoyt, and Randy and Brandy Hoyt.

He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Alma & Gary Shurley.

A private Celebration of Tommy’s Life will be held by his family on Saturday, February 15, 2020.
