Theresa Maddox Rowe, 52, passed away Tuesday, December 20, 2022, in Hammond, LA. A native of Baton Rouge, Theresa courageously fought her battle with Crohn’s disease over her adult life and passed away peacefully with her family by her side. The greatest joy in Theresa’s life was to be called ‘Fun Aunt Reece’. Despite her illnesses, Aunt Reece had many exciting adventures like seeing Elton John, and fun vacations with family. She loved to show her nieces and nephew her artistic side through painting, knitting, crocheting, and cooking for them to all enjoy.
She is survived by her mother, Dorothy Cashio, and sisters, Christy Mitchell (Darron) and Pamela Arceneaux; her four nieces and nephew, Joshua Mitchell, Abigail Mitchell, Olivia Arceneaux and Sophie Arceneaux. She was preceded in death by her father and stepfather, David Maddox and Henry Scallan.
Theresa’s family would like to thank Dr. Michael Yorek, nurse Vicki, and Dr. Casey Chapman for their exceptional care that allowed Theresa to live a full life.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Theresa’s life at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1503 Pecan St., Hammond, Louisiana 70401 on Saturday, January 21, 2023.
