Terry Allen Starwalt

March 3, 1958 — November 16, 2023

Albany

Terry Allen Starwalt, age 65, of Albany, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 16, 2023, at his residence.

Terry was born on Monday, March 3, 1958 in Bucyrus, Ohio. His parents were Gilbert Roscoe and Ruby Mae (Musselman) Starwalt. He married the love of his life, Margaret “Peggy” Ann Nelson on March 14, 1980. He is survived by his wife of 42 years; two daughters, Tanya A. Nel and husband Dirkie of Ponchatoula, Tracy A. Small and husband Ryan of Walker; one son, Torry A. Starwalt and fiancé Kris of Amite; three grandchildren, Ruby and Zoey Nel and Odin Culbertson; and four step-grandchildren, Jacob, Connor and Owen Small and Talen Culbertson.

Terry was a craftsman at heart. He loved to tinker and create. There wasn’t much he couldn’t fix. He was a family man who almost never met a stranger. He was a humble and private man who would give the shirt off his back to someone in need. He was in his element at flea markets and garage sales. Terry loved being outside, fishing, telling old stories, laughing, and a good long game of cards or monopoly. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Terry’s Life in the chapel of LN Hughes Funeral Services, 21400 South I-12 Service Road, Ponchatoula, LA 70454 on Wednesday, November 22, 2023 from 3PM to 5PM.
