Susan Lynn Novak

Susan Lynn Novak, affectionately known as “Momma Sue,” passed away peacefully at her residence on Wednesday, March 12, 2025, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 85. Born on Thursday, December 28, 1939, in Michigan City, Indiana, Sue was a cherished member of her community and the proud owner of Wild Wing Kennel in Hammond.

Sue is survived by her beloved children, Christopher William Novak, Marybeth Novak, Annette F. Novak, and Michael Anthony Novak. She also leaves behind her siblings, William “Bill” Rist, Jr., Kathy Klingenmeyer, and Ellen Wiskeman, as well as her grandchildren, Scott Traylor, Joseph Traylor, Benjamin Novak, Jack Traylor, Hayley Novak, Nicholas Smith, and Ethan Novak. Sue's legacy is further carried on by her nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, Eleanore Keen and William Rist.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the Chapel of LN Hughes Funeral Services, located at 21400 South I-12 Service Road, Ponchatoula, Louisiana, on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at 1:00 pm. Visitation will begin at 12:00 pm and continue until the time of service.
