Stevie "Steve" A. Atwood, 71, of Ellisville, Mississippi, finally got to see the streets of gold on October 31, 2024.
Born on June 14, 1953, Steve spent his life sharing his vast knowledge—whether it was how to chef it up in the kitchen, perfect a carpentry project, or even craft some questionable homemade vino. In recent years, he also shared with us his deep and unwavering faith in Jesus Christ, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and the occasional perfectly crafted meal.
Steve is survived by his children, Jimmy J. Atwood, Michael A. Atwood, and Stephanie A. Miller (Jonathan); grandchildren, Gavin M. Atwood, Wyatt J. Miller, and Waylon A. Miller; and brothers, Jim Wayne Atwood and Kenny Atwood, all of whom will cherish his memory, his lessons, and his laugh.
Preceded in death by his parents, Eleanor B. and James Atwood; and siblings, Barbara Broussard, Janet Atwood, and Andrew Atwood.
In true Steve fashion, there will be no formal funeral—but there will be eats and spirits. Join the family for a celebration of his life on Friday, January 3, 2025, at 6:30 p.m. at Abita Roasting in Madisonville. Be prepared to feast, toast, and share stories in his honor.
