Steve Granger, Jr.

Steve Granger, Jr. passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 6, 2022 in Hammond, Louisiana at the age of 78.  He was born on Saturday, January 24, 1943 in Roseland and was a resident of Hammond, LA.  He proudly served his country in the United States Army and was a retired truck driver.

Steve is survived by his beloved wife, Alisa Michelle Green Granger; children, Peter Anthony Granger, Angela Marie Granger Harwell, Lisa Ann Granger Yates, Benjamin Paul Granger, Stacy Marie Granger Morris, and Tracy Ann Granger Robertson; grandchildren, William Ellis Harwell, IV., Justin Paul Harwell, Ashley Marie Harwell, Noel Granger, Camron Granger, Katelyn Nichole Robertson, Patrick O'dell Robertson, Garrett Anthony Robertson, Madison Paige Rosenthal, Skyla Grace Morris, Vada Yates Freytag, George Yates, and Sonya Reneé Lynn Yates Hurley; and siblings, Billy Granger, Charles Elton, Shirley Granger Parker, and Lillian “Bop” Hill.  Also survived by 8 greatgrandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his daughter, Tina Granger Duplantis; parents, Steve Granger, Sr. and Lillian Bennett Granger Moore; and siblings, Carl “Cowboy” Ellington, Purnell Monroe, Nancy Lee Martin, and Marvin Jewel Granger.
