Rose Louise Henning passed away on Tuesday, August 16, 2022, surrounded by her loved ones, at Trinity Trace Community Care Center, where she was receiving care for Dementia and Parkinson, at the age of 81. She was born on Monday, April 14, 1941, in New Orleans, Louisiana, where she lived for several years, prior to living with her older sister, Dolores H. Bouchereau and brother-in-law, William M. Bouchereau in St. Bernard Parish. They relocated to Pearl River after Hurricane Katrina. She worked for many years as an operator for an answering service based in Metairie, Louisiana.

She had a green thumb and could pick anything and make it grow. Her love of plants was insatiable. Rosie had a deep love for animals as well, which were her fur babies since she never had children of her own. Her hobby was shopping at thrift stores throughout all the parishes. She had a love for art and would always bring her great finds home.

Rosie was a wonderful person to all who knew her and will be deeply missed. She leaves behind her sister, Dolores H. Bouchereau; brother, Louis L. Nolting, Jr.; nieces, Dawn B. Elrod and Linda Dieudonne’ Kline and their husbands, Russell W. Elrod and Calvin “Bud” Kline; niece, Shannon Nolting; nephew, Stephen L. Nolting; great niece, Gabrielle C. Elrod; great nephew, Richard E. Dieudonne’; numerous other great and great-great nieces and nephews. Also survived by, sister, Karen Nolting Lamia; and brothers, Raymond Richard Nolting and David James Nolting whose whereabouts are unknown.

Preceded in death by her parents, Herman Howard Henning and Florence Emma Pontiff; brothers, Herman Howard “Bubby” Henning, Jr. and Michael “Mickie” Nolting; brother-in-law, William M. Bouchereau; niece, Marguerite H. Simmons; and great nephew, Mark Allen Harris.

Rosie's family would like to thank St. Tammany Health System Hospice for their compassion and care, along with Trinity Trace Community Care Center for all they have done.
