Rose Manno Adkins

Rose Manno Adkins earned her Angel wings in the arms of her daughters on Wednesday, 02/02/2022. She is joining in heaven her late husband John J Adkins, her two sons Sidney and Kenneth Bonvillian and a son in law Brian Rodriguez.

Rose is the beloved mother of Nora Adkins Rodriguez (Paul Bennett) and Marie Adkins Billiot (Al). She is the beloved “Maw Maw” to Kenneth Bonvillian, Brad Bonvillian (Meaghan), Linsie Bonvillian, Jennifer Billiot Ledet (Adam), Jessica Billiot McCrossen (Johnny), John Billiot (Megan), Ryan Adkins, Jamie Blanchard (Adam) and the late Nicole Bonvillian. She is loved as a GG by great grandchildren, Kendra Bonvillian Dickerson (Dustin), Kevin Bonvillian, AJ, and Addison Ledet, JT and Jovie McCrossen, Payton, Colette and Cheyenne Bonvillian, Kaleigh, Kody and Karleigh Blanchard.

Rose was born in New Orleans but has lived in Westwego with the best neighbors since 1973. She was born on March 16, 1933, to Gasper and Nora Manno and was the surviving sibling of 10 loving brothers and sisters which included Dominic Manno (Mae), Antoinette Martin (TJ), Louis Manno (Gladys), Mike Manno (Pearl), Joseph Manno (Anne), Cecile Baronish (Harold), Shirley Naquin (Davey), Gasper Naquin (Zinnia), Anthony Manno (Carol), and Gloria Manno. She was the sister-in-law to the late William Adkins, (Ruth), Heloise Pickett (Nubbin), Jimmy Adkins and Beverly Butler (James).

She is the proud godmother to Davey Naquin (Debbie), Desiree Williams (Mark) and the late Josie Petit. She is survived by hundreds of special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends and a lifelong best friend Doris Norman. She Retired from West Jefferson Medical Center.

Please join her family on Wednesday, February 9, 2022, in Westwego at Our Lady of Prompt Succor Church for viewing from 10 am with Mass at 1 pm. Burial will be held at Westlawn Cemetery in Gretna, LA. A fellowship will follow at Westwego Fire Station 90, Ave H, Westwego.
