Known to many as Ron, he was born on Saturday, February 20, 1937, in Michigan City, Indiana, and throughout his 89 years, he touched countless lives with his kindness, wisdom, and unyielding spirit.

Ronald’s journey began in Indiana, where his early years were shaped by the love and guidance of his parents, Emily Reich Novak and Herman J. Novak, who preceded him in death. As a young man, Ron developed a deep appreciation for hard work and integrity—values that would become hallmarks of his life. He channeled this energy into building a legacy of dedication and service, not just to his family but to his community as well.

Ron was the proud owner and operator of Wild Wing Kennels in Hammond—a venture that became a testament to his unwavering commitment, care, and pride. Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 25, 2026, from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of LN Hughes Funeral Services, 21400 South I-12 Service Rd, Ponchatoula, Louisiana. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 p.m.
