Robert Merlin Berry Sr

Robert “Bob” Merlin Berry, Sr. passed away on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 82.  He was born on Monday, May 3, 1937 in New Orleans, Louisiana, resided in St. Bernard Parish for 50 years, and was currently residing in Ponchatoula, Louisiana for 10 years.

Bob is survived by his loving children; son & daughter-in-law, Robert M. Berry, Jr. and Janet Taylor Berry, daughter & son-in-law, Lisa Berry Shaw and Calvin Shaw, and son & daughter-in-law, Lance M. Berry, Sr. and Debbie Kimble Berry; 7 grandchildren, Lance M. Berry, Jr., Stephanie Shaw, Ryan Berry, Calvin Shaw, Amy Berry, Spencer Shaw, and Austin Berry; and 3 great-grandchildren, Kohl, Parker, and Abigail and a baby girl on the way.  Brother of Lauralee Berry.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Lois Gayle Eason Berry; parents, Josephine Fichter and Octave E. Berry, Sr.; and siblings, Octave, Chester, Shirley, Joseph, and Milton.

Graveside services with military honors will be held at the Southeast Louisiana Veterans Cemetery, 34888 Grantham College Road, Slidell, Louisiana 70460 on Friday, July 17, 2020 at 1:30 pm.
