Raymond Charles “R.C.” Bealer, Sr. passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 69. He was born on Thursday, October 14, 1954, in New Orleans and resided in Amite, Louisiana. He retired from Union Pacific Railroad where he worked 42 years as a switchman. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and enjoyed being outdoors. Ray also enjoyed painting portraits that can be seen hanging in the Bealer home. He will be deeply missed by his adoring family and friends.
Raymond is survived by his beloved wife of 51 years, Rosemary Lynn Cooney Bealer; his children, Kristy Beckendorf (Clay), Raymond C. Bealer, Jr. (Kathleen), Edward Bealer, Sr. (Jenny), and Brandi Bealer (Blake Woods); grandchildren, Hailey, Edward Jr., Jalyn, Hunter (Kayli), Caleb, Joshua, Bryleigh, Cecilia, Aubree, and Drew; great granddaughter, Ivlee; siblings, Rosalind O’Brien, and Keith Bealer (Bob); and Goddaughter, Rebecca O’Brien; and many family members and dear friends.
Preceded in death by his grandson, Jacob Beckendorf; parents, Maryann and George Bealer, Sr.; brother, George Bealer, Jr.; and brother-in-law, Johnny O’Brien.
A private Celebration of Raymond’s Life will be held at a later date.
