It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Philip Daniel Scott, lovingly known as "Cricket," who left us on Tuesday, March 3, 2026, at the age of 51. A man of many talents, Philip was not only the owner and operator of PDS Enterprizez, but he was also a pillar of strength and wisdom to those around him. Born on Sunday, November 24, 1974, in New Orleans, Louisiana, he spent his life cultivating a reputation marked by his strategic thinking, analytical prowess, and a personality that was at once fun-loving and down-to-earth.
Philip's warm personality and caring nature touched the lives of many. He had an uncanny ability to light up any room he entered, leaving behind a legacy filled with love and laughter. Memories of his kind heart will forever echo in the lives he enriched, especially within his family, who were his pride and joy. Philip cherished every moment spent with his loved ones, whether it was enjoying vacations, going out to eat, or indulging in his favorite hobbies of poker and sports betting. He had a unique way of bringing people together, often finding joy in hosting movie nights with family.
As a devoted husband, Philip leaves behind his beloved wife, Elena Clotter, who stood beside him through every endeavor. He is also survived by his children, each of whom carries a piece of his spirit: Philip Daniel Winslow, Daniel Philip Scott, Arianna Clotter, and Jayla Clotter. His two cherished grandchildren will carry forward his legacy, blessed to have known their grandfather's loving embrace. Philip's sister, Evangeline Graham, remains a source of strength and will forever hold him close in her heart.
Philip was preceded by his mother, Charlean Scott, and his father, Daniel Green, who must now welcome him into eternity. The love he received from them undoubtedly shaped the man he became, one who proudly accomplished the dreams he set for himself—raising a family, purchasing a home, and starting a business that reflected his hard work and dedication.
Family and friends are invited to honor Philip’s memory during visitation on Saturday, March 14, 2026, in the chapel of LN Hughes Funeral Services, 21400 South I-12 Service Road, Ponchatoula, Louisiana, from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The funeral service will follow at 2:00 PM, leading into a graveside service at Holly Gardens Cemetery in Hammond, Louisiana.
The repast will be held at Encore Event Center, 48351 Whiskey Lane, Tickfaw, Louisiana 70466 from 4:00 PM until 7:00 PM.
As we say goodbye to this remarkable man, let us remember him for the love he shared, the memories he created, and the joy he brought into the lives of countless individuals. Philip was a true gem, and his spirit will forever remain woven into the hearts he touched.
