Nancy Norman Sparks

Nancy Norman Sparks passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family, on Friday, May 20, 2022, at her residence in Ponchatoula, Louisiana at the age of 69.  She was born on Wednesday, August 13, 1952, in Independence, LA.  Nancy was such a special person.  She was loving, caring, and hilarious.  She was known for her amazing skill as a residential and commercial painter.  She loved to dance, always had a way with words, and was determined to make you laugh with her antics.  She will surely be loved and fondly remembered by her family and friends.  She was definitely one of a kind.

Nancy is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Misty Sparks Harrell and Stephen Harrell; sisters, Leona Kinchen, Jackie Genco, Judy Covington, Lucille Whittington, and Mona Milton (Wyman); brother, Charles Norman; grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Kristen, and Ethan Harrell; special nieces and nephew, Debbie & Steve Flanagan, Mona Ogima (Sissy), Judy Lynn McLain, and Margaret Beck Norman; furbabies, Toodles and Chubs Sparks; granddoggies, Charlie, Jack, and Sam; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, and family members.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Theresa Rumfola Norman; brother, William “Bill” Norman; and sister, Mabel Smith.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service in the chapel of LN Hughes Funeral Services, 21400 South I-12 Service Rd., Ponchatoula, LA 70454 on Tuesday, May 24, 2022, at 8:00 pm.  The visitation will begin at 6:00 pm and continue until service time.
