Naioma Jean Kennedy Lutz

Naioma Jean Kennedy Lutz passed away peacefully on Monday, November 6, 2023, at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond, at the age of 83. She was born on Monday, April 1, 1940 in Scotts Hill, Tennessee and joined the Air Force in 1958 at the age of 18, after her graduation.  During her life, she resided in Virginia, Germany, Washington DC, Shreveport, Bossier City, Metairie, Lafitte, Ponchatoula and Albany.  Jean was able to travel to the Holy Lands, which was a very important event in her life.  She attended Bible College for many years.

Jean worked in the Pentagon under John F. Kennedy’s administration.  She served in the United States Air Force and worked for the U.S. District Attorney’s Office in New Orleans.

Jean is survived by her three sons, Michael Roy Lutz, Jeffrey David Lutz, and Gregg Clifford Lutz; grandchildren, Melissa Burlette Meunier, Brittany Marie Lutz, Jonathan David Lutz, Christopher James Lutz, Caleb Justin Lutz, and Amanda Elizabeth Lutz Bickford (Adam); and great grandchildren, Kolten Justin Robert Lutz, Blakley Mae Lutz, Wyatt Glen Bickford, and Kaiden David Lutz.

Preceded in death by her mother, Hazel Clenney; her former husband, Roy James Lutz, Jr., and her uncle, Clifford Clenney.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Jean’s Life in the chapel of LN Hughes Funeral Services, 21400 South I-12 Service Road, Ponchatoula, LA on Saturday, November 11, 2023, beginning at 9:00 am followed by the Memorial Service with military honors at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Richard Murphy Hospice Foundation , 1109 South Chestnut St., Hammond, LA 70403 in memory of Jean Lutz.
