Murray Michael O'Leary

Murray Michael “Mike” O’Leary passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2021, at his residence in Ponchatoula, Louisiana at the age of 79.  He was born on Friday, July 24, 1942, in Cairo, IL.  Mike was retired from management and sales in the marine and heavy industries and was a U.S. Air Force veteran.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife of 28 years, Marilyn M. O’Leary; children, Patrick O’Leary, Theresa Mertz (Gerry), and Annie Heck (Kevin); stepchildren, Sara Barrett (Brenda), and Melissa Hodgson (Shane); brothers, Dennis O’Leary (Doris), and Daniel O’Leary (Kathy); a sister, Virginia Paul; 9 grandchildren,  2 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Mike is preceded in death by a stepson, Michael Barrett; and a brother-in-law, Eddie Paul.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Mike’s Life in the chapel of LN Hughes Funeral Services, 21400 South I-12 Service Road, Ponchatoula, Louisiana on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
