Melissa “Missy” Lorraine Sherwood passed away peacefully at home in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, on Sunday, December 5, 2021, at the age of 47. She was born on Tuesday, October 8, 1974, to Mary Frances Demers and Stanley Hugh Sherwood in Metairie, Louisiana.
Missy is survived by her loving family: her father and stepmother, Stanley H. and Lessie Sherwood; mother, Mary Demers San Marco; sons, Joshua and Jordan Leon; granddaughter, Augustine Leon; siblings, Katharine Sherwood, Dorothy Whitaker, Cynthia Meier, Steven Sherwood, Robert Sherwood, and Evelyn Sherwood; stepsisters, Chrissie Johnson and Rebecca Robinson; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by her stepfather, Joseph San Marco.
Arrangements entrusted to LN Hughes Funeral Services of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
