Maureen Hoover Rowland

Maureen Hoover Rowland passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 23, 2024, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 66.  She was born on Wednesday, February 26, 1958, in Victoria, Texas and resided in Ponchatoula.  Maureen worked in the entertainment industry as a mixologist and hostess. She owned Rowlin on River, Catch 22, Tamales Ole, and Toucans over the years.  She had many friends and never met a stranger.

Maureen is survived by her loving husband, Dennis Warren Rowland; her son, Devin C. Hoover; grandchildren, Jaiden Moran, Seth Hoover, and Purseus Hoover; birthmother, Louise Sloan; siblings, Cindy, Nathan, and Debbie Sloan.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her mother, Myrtle Margot Hoover; father, I.B. Hoover; brother, Don Hoover; and daughter-in-law, Sharie Chontel Moran Hoover.
