Mary Liz Ard Martinez Moseley

Mary “Liz” Ard Martinez Moseley passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 59.  She was born on Tuesday, March 3, 1964, in Independence, LA. She was a former resident of Marksville and was currently residing in Independence.

Liz was a loving wife, mom, sister, and friend who enjoyed cooking and was a very Cajun Cook!  She loved family gatherings, spending time with her pets, the beach, and the outdoors.  She always had a beautiful smile and a positive attitude.  No matter the obstacle, she remained faithful and has words of encouragement for everyone.  She had been ill for the past few years.  Losing a child, battling cancer, and bypass surgery.  Through it all, she remained positive.  Liz would encourage others through these times.

Liz is survived by her loving husband, Tommy Lee Moseley; and sister, Patricia Ard-Bush of Marksville.  Also survived by her special fur baby, Miley; and many family members and friends.

Preceded in death by her three children, Joey Vidal Martinez, Joshua Martinez, and Tenee’ Martinez, of Marksville, LA; parents, Huey Ard, Sr. of Folsom, LA and Lizzie Mae Clapps Ard of Marksville; siblings, Rickey Ard, Huey Phillip Ard, and Peter Ard; and special nephew, Robbie Bush, all of Marksville.
