Louis Joseph Baril, Iii

Louis Joseph “LJ” Baril, III. passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 23, 2021 in Hammond, Louisiana at the age of 81.  He was born on Sunday, September 8, 1940 in New Orleans, Louisiana.

LJ worked as an offshore cook and baker for most of his life.  He had an amazing zest for life, a great sense of humor, and always did things his way.  If you ever had the chance to meet LJ you would never forget him.

LJ is survived by children, Louis Baril IV (Dottie), Tina Paradela (Dan), Anthony Baril (Cynthia), and Michelle Baril; and grandchildren, Kristin Dang (Trung), Katie Baril, Tyler Delrie (Kasey), Joseph Paradela, Jacob Paradela, Ethan Paradela, Elaina Downs, Mycah Dubois, Camron Dubois, Anthony Baril Jr., Conner Roth, and Blake Baril.

He was preceded in death by his companion, Michelle Loree and her daughter, Christina Loree.

LJ’s wishes were for his children and grandchildren to gather together as a family and share stories, have fun together, and watch LSU play Alabama in his memory.
