she brought warmth, light, and kindness into the lives of all who knew her
Lillian Sadie Mocklin, affectionately known as Lily, passed away peacefully on Friday, August 21, 2026, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 28. Born on Wednesday, June 24, 1998, in Jefferson, Louisiana, she brought warmth, light, and kindness into the lives of all who knew her.
From her earliest days, Lily was recognized for her sweet, gentle spirit. She was always smiling, her presence radiating a quiet joy that uplifted those around her. Her very nature was loving and thoughtful, making her a cherished daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend.
Lily graduated from Riverdale High School in 2018, an accomplishment that made her family very proud. Throughout her life, she embraced the things she loved with enthusiasm and delight. She was an ardent fan of everything Disney, and her fondness for magic and adventure shone through in her enjoyment of Harry Potter books and movies as well as the captivating Rick Riordan book series. These joys reflected Lily's enduring curiosity and boundless sense of wonder.
Lillian is survived by her devoted mother, Amy Ruth Mocklin, her father, Edward S. Mocklin III, and her stepfather, Carl Falgout Jr. who treasure her memory dearly. Her sisters, Abigail, Evelyn, Elizabeth, and Isabelle Mocklin, and her stepbrothers, Carl III and Baily Falgout remember her as a loving and supportive sibling whose laughter and kindness made every moment brighter. Her paw paw, Edward S. Mocklin Jr.; her nana, Lucille Falgout; her nephew, Maverick Kirk; her aunt and uncle, Virginia and Charles David Smith; aunt, Kerri Mocklin; cousins, Cindel Tucker, Silesie Smith, and Charlie Smith; and numerous extended family members and friends mourn her loss and celebrate the love and joy she brought to their lives.

Lily was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Charles D. Smith and Arlis Pelts; her grandmothers, Sandra Mocklin and Shirley Smith; her nephews, Bjorn Smith and Alexander Smith; her uncle, Benny Pelts; and her cousin, Travis Pelts. Their memories are lovingly held together with hers.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, August 29, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of LN Hughes Funeral Services, 21400 S I - 12 Service Rd, Ponchatoula, Louisiana. The funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. where family, friends, and all those touched by Lily's life are welcome to gather in remembrance and gratitude for the profound impact she left on the world.
Lily’s favorite color was pink, a beautiful reflection of her vibrant yet gentle soul. In her honor, all those attending her services are requested to wear something pink.
Though Lily’s time on earth was brief, her gentle soul, compassionate heart, and joyous spirit have left an enduring imprint on all who were fortunate enough to know her. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
