Leland "Lee" Rogers

Leland “Lee” Rogers passed away peacefully on Monday, August 4, 2025, at his mother’s residence in Loranger, Louisiana, at the age of 62. Born on Saturday, September 22, 1962, in New Orleans, he resided in Delacroix, Louisiana. Lee was a lifelong commercial fisherman and enjoyed tending to his property while spending quality time with his family.

Lee is survived by his wife of 45 years, Vanessa Rogers, and his daughter, Melissa Rogers. He also leaves behind his mother, Sandra Parker Lopez, and his beloved grandchildren, Jeremiah, Lee, and Miah. Lee is also survived by his brothers, Henry “Hank” Lopez, Jr. (Mitzi) and Russell “Rusty” Lopez, Sr. (Nealie), and his sister, Penny Lopez Lewis (Troy). His nieces and nephews, Joshua Lopez (Kristina), Canaan Lopez (Brittani), Tabatha Lopez, Russell Lopez, Jr., Abigail Lopez, and Olivia Lopez, along with great nephews and niece, Henry, Rhett, and Penelope, will cherish his memory. He was preceded in death by his father, Henry Lee Lopez, Sr.

Lee’s wife, daughter, grandchildren, siblings, nieces and nephews came from near and far and gathered over this past week to celebrate Lee’s life and legacy.
