Laurie Marie Thibodeaux

Laurie Marie Thibodeaux passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2022, in Hammond, Louisiana at the age of 67.  She was born on Saturday, December 10, 1955, in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Anita Mary and George J. Thibodeaux and was a resident of Loranger, Louisiana.  She had many jobs throughout her life, but her biggest accomplishment were her children.  She was an honest hardworking person and fought for what she believed in.

Laurie is survived by her beloved children: son, Tico Joseph Polkey and daughter, Georgia Polkey; brother, Larry Thibodeaux; sister, Lynette Thibodeaux; lifelong friend, Chris Babin; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.

Preceded in death by her parents, Anita Mary Schexnayder and George Joseph Thibodeaux; and brother, Leonard “Lenny” Thibodeaux.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Laurie’s Life at The Pentecostals of the Loranger Community, 20155 Milkplant Rd, Loranger, LA 70446 on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, from 5:00 pm until the service begins at 7:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Richard Murphy Hospice Foundation , 1109 South Chestnut Street, Hammond, LA 70403, in Laurie's Memory.
