Kevin James Madere

Kevin “Crump” James Madere passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021, in Hammond, Louisiana at the age of 58.  He was born on Thursday, July 4, 1963, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Beverly Catoir Madere and Harold Joseph Madere, Sr.  Kevin resided in Albany, Louisiana with his adoring wife of 33 years, Janet Farrar Madere.

Kevin was a devoted husband and father who enjoyed the little things in life.  He loved nothing more than to sit on his back porch with his family, cook a delicious meal, and cheer on his favorite team the New Orleans Saints.  Kevin was hardworking and a dedicated employee at Tri-State Refrigeration.  Kevin was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis back in April of this year and even with the fast progression of the disease, he stayed strong and resilient to the end.

Kevin is survived by his beloved family: his loving wife, Janet Farrar Madere; sons, Dustin James Madere and Joshua Paul Madere; mother, Beverly Catoir Madere; siblings, Harold Joseph Madere, II. and Elizabeth Madere Harrell; and granddaughter, Noel Jolie Madere.

Preceded in death by his father, Harold Joseph Madere, Sr. and sister, Dawn Madere Todd.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Celebration of Kevin’s Life at All Saints Episcopal Church, 250 West Hickory Street, Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454 on Wednesday, August 4, 2021, at 11:00 am.  Additional parking will be available at Ponchatoula Memorial Park located at N 6th St. Ponchatoula, Louisiana 70454.

A reception will be held at the home of Kevin and Janet following the service.

Donations may be made to All Saints Episcopal Church in memory of Kevin.

Due to the rise in COVID-19, the family is asking for all guests to please wear a mask for the duration of the service.
