Kenneth “Lum” Jones passed away on Monday, April 08, 2024, at his residence in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 71. He was born on Monday, January 12, 1953, in Ohio, raised in the Albany/Springfield area, and resided in Hammond for 50 years. Lum loved his career as a truck driver and was known as “Double Clutch”. He proudly served in the United States Army. And most importantly, Lum was a loving husband, father, and friend to all that knew him.
Lum is survived by his beloved wife of 50 years, Kathy King Jones; daughters, Tobey Johnson (Eddie) and Lesly Jones (Rodney Strate); brothers-in-law, Bill King (the late Geri) and Pat King (Melanie); and many step grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Preceded in death by his parents, Violet May Beaver and Donald Eugene Jones; and brother, Brian Jones.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Lum’s Life in the chapel of LN Hughes Funeral Services, 21400 South I-12 Service Road, Ponchatoula, Louisiana on Saturday, April 13, 2024, from 9:30 am until 12:00 pm followed by United States Army Military Honors at 12:00 pm.
