Joseph “Joby” Salvador Lamarca passed away on Tuesday, January 31, 2023, in Hammond, Louisiana at the age of 36. He was born on Tuesday, February 25, 1986, in Hammond, Louisiana to Theresa Marie Ratliff and Johnny Lee Lamarca, and resided in Roseland, Louisiana.
Joby was loud and crazy like his dad. Everyone who met him knew he belonged to Johnny “Big Head” Lamarca as soon as he started talking. He had a heart as big as life. He would help anyone that needed him. Joby never met a stranger, always making you laugh, even if you weren’t in a laughing mood. He loved his family and friends unconditionally. To some, he was like a son or a brother, and he was a friend to all. He touched everyone’s heart in one way or another and was the life of the party wherever he went. To know Joby was to love Joby.
Joby is survived by his beloved family: his daughter, Baylynn Lamarca; mother, Theresa Ficklin; brother, Charles “Chad” Maurer; sisters, Amy L. Maurer and Chloe Lamarca; grandmother, Jackie Genco; and nieces and nephews, Jae, Max, Brantlee, Selena, Michael, Gaige, and Ava. Also survived by many family members and friends.
Preceded in death by his father, Johnny Lee Lamarca; son, Landin Lamarca; and grandparents, Bobbie and Joe Lamarca, and Joseph “Jody” Ratliff.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the graveside service at Colonial Cemetery, 13433 Vitrano Lane, Independence, La 70443, on Saturday, February 4, 2023, at 10:00 am.
