Joseph Paul Marz

Joseph Paul Marz passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2025, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 80. He was born on Wednesday, June 7, 1944, in Yugoslavia and resided in Springfield, Louisiana.  Joe was very kind and caring.  He enjoyed traveling with his wife where they would visit flea markets, and he loved his fur babies.  Joe proudly served in the United States Army.

Joe is survived by his beloved wife of 16 years, Lois Bowman Marz; stepson, Johnny King; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Linda and Joseph Ard, Loretta and Tim Young, and Crystal Furca; step grandchildren, Justin and Melissa King and their children, Easton and Olivia; cousin, Roseanna Edwards; and grandnephew, Xavier DiMattia. Also survived by many extended family members and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, Theresa Marz Yager and Joseph Marz; brothers-in-law, Ronald Furca and Joe Jones; and his beloved puppy, Sissy.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Visitation in the chapel of LN Hughes Funeral Services, 21400 South I-12 Service Road, Ponchatoula, Louisiana on Monday, February 3, 2025, from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm.  The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 12:00 pm with Pastor Les Fogleman officiating.

Interment will be held in Carter Cemetery, Springfield, Louisiana with Military Honors provided by the American Legion Post 109 and the United States Army.
