Joseph Dibuono Albanese

Joseph DiBuono Albanese passed away on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, at his residence in Madisonville, Louisiana, at the age of 85.  He was born on October 13, 1938, in Independence and resided in Madisonville.  He loved the outdoors and loved living by the water.  He was an avid gardener, fisherman, crabber, and enjoyed going to the beach.  He was a scuba diver and traveled many places diving.  He retired from Shell Chemical after more than 30 years and he also owned and operated Albanese Christmas Tree Farm in Independence.

Joe is survived by his loving family: his wife of 55 years, Marian Durant Albanese; children, Tecla Albanese Schillage (Sal), John Albanese (Phyllis), Louis Albanese (Veronica), and Cyndi Albanese (Dale Bone); grandchildren, Heather Folse (Kevin), Sal Schillage, Jr., Sylvia Puckett (Alex), Alex Roberts, Lauren Albanese, and Hunter Cowell; great grandchildren, Ben, Eli, and Archer Folse, Aria Schillage, Abbie and Riley Puckett, and Charley Beth Roberts; and brother, Michael Albanese (Faye).

Preceded in death by his parents, John August and Mary DiBuono Albanese; and twins, Tecla and Louis Albanese; sister and brother-in-law, Margaret and Marcel Casadaban; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, JoAnn and Joe Stafford.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation in the chapel of LN Hughes Funeral Services, 21400 South I-12 Service Road, Ponchatoula, Louisiana on Saturday, September 28, 2024, from 3:00 pm until the Catholic Service begins at 6:00 pm.
