John L. Somers, Sr.
October 6, 1942 – November 7, 2022

John Somers, resident of Ponchatoula, LA, passed away Monday, November 7, 2022, from flu associated with other medical conditions. He was born in Baltimore and raised in Pasadena, Maryland. He served in both the Army and Air National Guard of Maryland, and as a reserve of the Air Force as military police and fire protection specialist.

He later began his career with the Baltimore City Fire Department and retired as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT). He continued his passion for cooking throughout his retirement.

He is survived by his daughter, Michele, son, John Jr., two granddaughters, Kayla and Jordyn, and a great-grandson, James.
