John Wayne Pellegrin

John Wayne Pellegrin passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 2, 2021 at his residence in Ponchatoula, Louisiana surrounded by his family at the age of 73.  He was born on Friday, November 7, 1947 in Covington, Louisiana where he resided for most of his life.  John retired after 30 years of service from the Bogue Falaya Park as Park Ranger.  He honorably served his country in the United States Army and the National Guard for over 20 years.

John is survived by his loving family; five sons, C.J. Pellegrin (Shelly), Douglas Pellegrin (Kelly), Jeffery Pellegrin, Joseph Pellegrin (Angel), and Andy Pellegrin (Jennifer); siblings, Diane Pellegrin Jenkins, Melissa Pellegrin Glaze, Glen Pellegrin, and Polly Abernathy; grandchildren, Alexis, Blake, Brooke, Tate, Bella, Aidan, Emma, Blaine, Jordyn, Nick, Hailey, Michael, Kyrsten, Kaylee, and Luke; and one great grandson, Adam.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his wife, Hilda Pellegrin Strain; parents, Eliza and Cleveland John Pellegrin; and brother, Pie Pellegrin.

Private services will be held by the family.
