Joey Stephen Castillo, Sr.

Joey Stephen Castillo, Sr. passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2022 in Hammond, Louisiana at the age of 46.  He was born on Thursday, August 28, 1975 in Metairie, Louisiana and resided in Ponchatoula.  Joey was a loving husband, father, son, brother, stepfather, son-in-law, brother-in-law, uncle, and friend and will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Joey is survived by his adoring wife, Kristine Stephens Castillo; children, Alec Castillo, Joey Castillo, Jr., and Marley Castillo; parents, Merleine Kovacs Castillo and Obdulio Pinel Castillo; siblings, Francisco Castillo, Stanley Castillo, Bonnie Castillo, and Henry Castillo; stepsons, Nicholas Roques and Blake Stephens; nieces and nephews, Antoine Fernandez, Kirsten Murcia (Ricardo), Noah, Hannah, Celina, Alysia, Henri, and Delelle Castillo; great nieces and nephews, Scarlett and Daniel Murcia; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Florence and Ernest Stephens; brothers and sisters-in-law; Ernie and Stephanie Stephens, and Mark and Rhonda Stephens; and nieces and nephews; Ernest Stephens IV (Heather), Jacob Stephens (Karlee), Courtney Stephens, great nieces and nephews, Sydney, Maci, Luke, and Mavery Stephens; and best friend, Yamil Hanon and his wife, Jennifer Hanon; and his loving fur babies, Luna, Loki, Lil Bit, KC, and Gigi.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation in the chapel of LN Hughes Funeral Services, 21400 South I-12 Service Rd., Ponchatoula, Louisiana on Thursday, February 3, 2022 from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm.  The Celebration of Joey’s life will begin at 1:00 pm.
