Jerry Graves, born on Friday, June 10, 1938, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2026, leaving behind a legacy cherished by family and all who knew him.

Jerry was the beloved husband of Linda Graves. Together, they shared the remarkable journey of marriage for 63 years—a testament to their enduring partnership, love, and devotion. Jerry was a proud and loving father to his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Dawn Graves, and his son David Graves. He also took great joy in being a grandfather to eight grandchildren and a great-grandfather to six great-grandchildren, each of whom brought him unmeasurable happiness.

Family was always at the center of Jerry’s heart. He carried with him the memory of his late parents, Dewey and Claudine Graves, and his brothers, Billy Graves and Bobby Graves. Though much missed, their influence and love continued to inspire Jerry throughout his life.

Jerry will be deeply missed, fondly remembered, and forever honored by his wife, children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and all those whose lives he touched. His legacy of devotion, resilience, and love remains an enduring example for those privileged to have known him.

A memorial service to honor and celebrate Jerry's life will be held at Immanuel Baptist Church, 1503 Pecan Street, Hammond, Louisiana on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 10:00 am. The visitation will begin at 8:30 am at church.

The arrangements to honor Jerry's life have been entrusted to LN Hughes Funeral Services of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
