Gloria Bennett Brandau

Gloria Ann Bennett Brandau passed away on Monday, May 27, 2024, at her residence in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, at the age of 59.  She was born on Tuesday, April 6, 1965, in New Orleans, LA, and resided in Avondale for 18 years prior to moving to the North Shore.

Gloria is survived by her beloved husband of 40 years, Wahden Brandau, Sr.; children, Wahden Brandau, Jr. (Ashley), Katherine Brandau, Nicole Jamison, and Amba Matecun (Tank); siblings, Wanda Bennett Newby (Louis) and David Paul Bennett; grandchildren, Cody Moore, Brennan Matecun, Alyssa Matecun, Wahden Brandau, III., Terrell Brandau, Bentley Jamison, Kenlee Brandau, Camyrn Brandau, and Klaire Brandau; and great grandson, Denver Rousseau.  Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.

Preceded in death by her parents, Barbara Dibble Bennett and Terrell J. Bennett, Sr; and siblings, Terrell J. Bennett, Jr. and James “Jimmy” A. Bennett.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Gloria’s Life at the Ponchatoula Kiwanis Cabin, located in Ponchatoula Kiwanis Park, 201 W. Magnolia St. and S. 6th St., on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at 5:00 pm.
