Geraldine Nata Jennings

Geraldine “Gerry” Nata Jennings passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at her residence in Slidell, Louisiana, at the age of 92. She was born on Thursday, October 27, 1932, in New Orleans.

Gerry is survived by her sons, Eddie Jennings, Jr. and Jerry Jennings (Audrey); daughter, Janet Jennings Bland; grandchildren, Paul Herkes, Jr. (Angel), Jennifer Jennings, Herman Bonnette III. (Alissa), and Eddie Jennings; great grandchildren, Sara Jennings, Ciara Jennings, and Luis Jacob Ocampo, Antonio Robinson, Jr., Anthony Jennings, Peyton Jennings and Herman Bonnette, IV, Lexie, Princeton, Isreal, and Emmanuel Herkes; great great grandchildren, Wynter Adore Jennings, Ja’marr Jennings, and Jaelynn Jennings; brothers, Joseph Nata, Sr. (Diane), and Reneldear "Blue" Nata; and sister, Janice Nata Lee Parrino (Ed). Also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, family members and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband, Eddie Jennings, Sr.; daughter, Terri Lynn Jennings Herkes; parents, Florence Dallon Nata and Reneldear “Red” F. Nata, Sr.; granddaughter, Jessica Chantel Jennings; twin great grandsons, Michael and Matthew Huy; brothers, George Nata, Sr. and Anthony “Tony” Nata, Sr.; and son-in-law, Herman Bonnette, Jr.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Celebration of Gerry’s Life at the Bonnette Residence, 1214 St. Christopher St., Slidell, Louisiana 70460 on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 1:00 pm.
