Frances Payne Briggs

Frances Payne Briggs passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2024, in Hammond, LA at the age of 85.  She was born on Friday, July 29, 1938, in Pelham, Alabama and resided in Louisiana for many years.  She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend.

Frances is survived by her daughter, Debbie Magee (J.W.); son, Bobby Briggs (Audrey); grandchildren, Justin Magee (Brittany), Roy Magee (Lindy), Aubrie Leah Sheridan (Jaron), and Hannah Babin (Jake), Maximo Briggs, and Lindsay Toole; and great grandchildren, Richard Spicer, Ollie Sickman, Beau Babin, Bennett Magee, Shep Magee, Marlie Mercante, and Lilah Toole.  Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her beloved son, Dewayne Briggs (survived by Jackie) in 2001; parents, Blanche and Alvie Payne; grandson, Cody Briggs. Frances was the youngest of 12 children, who have preceded her in death.
