Dr. Edgar J. Solis

Dr. Edgar J. Solis passed away peacefully on Friday, January 6, 2023, surrounded by his family at his residence in Ponchatoula, Louisiana, at the age of 91.  He was born on Sunday, July 12, 1931, in Masaya, Nicaragua and resided in Pembroke Pines, Florida for 22 years prior to moving to Louisiana.  Edgar was an attorney and an architectural drawing professor at The Vocational Institute of Managua.  He had an amazing sense of humor and loved to spend quality time with his beloved wife, family, and friends.

Edgar is survived by his adoring wife, Graciela Del Carmen Solis Blandino and their children, Patricia A. Sanders, Edgard S. Solis, Gruchenska H. Madriz, and Alvaro J. Solis.

Also survived by eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

Preceded in death by his parents, Eudoro Solis and Maria Jesus Perez, and sister, Argentina Solis.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Memorial Mass at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, 4337 Sal Lentini Parkway, Kenner, Louisiana 70065 on Friday, January 13, 2023, at 11:00 am.

Inurnment will follow in Garden of Memories Mausoleum, Metairie, Louisiana.
