DuWayne Charles Kyle

DuWayne Charles Kyle, 67, passed away peacefully at home on Monday, February 2, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer.

He was a proud Dad of DuWayne, Jr. "DJ", Sarah and Thomas he was our safe place, and our best friend. Born in New Orleans, Louisiana. DuWayne was a member of Ironworkers Local 58 in New Orleans and Local 361 in New York for 48 years.

DuWayne is survived by his children, Duwayne, Jr. (Monique), Sarah and Thomas, his mother Evelyn Kyle, and his brothers Robert Kyle, Jr. (Eugenia), William Kyle (Julie) and David Kyle.

He was preceded in death by his father Robert D. Kyle, Sr., paternal grandparents, Hiram Kyle and Mary Kate Kyle, maternal grandparents, Vincent Steven Verneuil and Amiss Olivia Verneuil.

A funeral mass will be held at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Ponchatoula, La., on Friday, February 6, 2026. The visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. Interment will follow in Parklawn Memorial Garden, Hammond, La.
