Doris Marie Pruett Stevens

Doris Marie Pruett Stevens, a cherished lifelong resident of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 9, 2025, at the age of 77. Born on Sunday, August 3, 1947, Doris was a devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who treasured spending holidays and quality time with her family.

Doris is survived by her beloved children, Barbara Morse Alexander, Sonya Morse April (John), Gary Stevens, Jr. (Wendy), and Michael Stevens (Alfredo); grandchildren, Kristan Miller (Brandon), Brandi Alexander, Tiffany Thompson (Chris), Lauren April Boesch (Tyler), Jacob Stevens (Tina), Caitlyn Stevens, Amanda Longoria (Connor), Ryan Stevens, Brittany Stevens, and Joshua Stevens; great grandchildren, Brisyn Miller, Khloe Miller, Beckham Miller, Brody Amond, Baleigh Amond, and Brantley Amond; and sister, Ruby McAllister. Also survived by many family members and friends.

Preceded in death by her husband, Gary Stevens; son, Joey Stevens; parents, William and Virginia Simpson Pruett; and siblings, Kenneth Pruett, Mavis Pruett, Buster Pruett, Curtis Pruett, Allen Pruett, and Frances Pruett Holly.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation in the chapel of LN Hughes Funeral Services, 21400 South I-12 Service Road, Ponchatoula, Louisiana on Sunday, June 15, 2025 from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm followed by the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm.

The interment will be held in Sandhill Cemetery, Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
