Donald R Davis

Donald R “Don” Davis passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family, on Monday, January 27, 2020, at his residence in Tickfaw, Louisiana, at the age of 61.  He was born on Monday, February 17, 1958 to Marvin E Davis, Sr and Geneva Gatlin Davis.

Don is survived by his loving family, his wife, Laurie K. Davis; daughter, Sarah Davis Smith; son, Matthew Davis and his wife, Kayla; sister, Judy Coates; grandchildren, Breeanna, Jasmine, Kody, Jessika, Morgan, Payzlee, and Brinleigh; great-grandson, Dakota; nephew, Denny Coates; niece, Cherry Coates; and mother-in-law, Emily Basso.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Marvin E. and Geneva G. Davis.

The Davis family sends their sincere appreciation and thanks to Melissa and the staff of Bridgeway Healthcare and Hospice of Baton Rouge for their compassionate care.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation in the chapel of LN Hughes Funeral Services, 21400 S. I-12 Service Rd, Ponchatoula, Louisiana on Wednesday, January 29, 2020 from 2:00 pm until 5:00 pm.
