Cynthia “Cindy” R. Savoie, beloved wife, mother, daughter, maw maw, sister, aunt, and friend passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, September 2, 2024, at the age of 64. A native of Chalmette and a resident of Hammond, Louisiana. She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and devotion.

Cindy was the cherished wife of Rodney “Ronnie” J. Savoie, Jr. for 43 years. Together, they built a home filled with warmth, laughter, and endless love. Ronnie was her soulmate and their love stood strong, enduring the test of time, and weathering every challenge with grace. It is a love that will live on in all the hearts of those who were fortunate to witness it.

Cindy dedicated herself to her family, always putting others before herself. Her gentle spirit and compassionate nature touched the hearts of everyone she met. She was a pillar of strength and an unwavering source of support for all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Rodney “Ronnie” J. Savoie, Jr.; her devoted mother, Marie “Bea” Claverie; her caring stepmother, Pam Rein; her cherished children, Marcus Savoie, Andre Savoie, Chantel Yeager(James), Scott Savoie(Carol), Ashleigh Peraza(Seth), Taylor Savoie, and Andrea Savoie; her beloved grandchildren, Elizabeth Yeager, Morgan Barrilleaux, Kinsey Bea Savoie, Landon & Tristen Peraza, and Harleigh Beatrice Peraza; her dear brothers, Mark Rein (Jan), Gregory Rein (Kristen), and Jeffery Rein (Dana); and her cousins, Debbie, Jodie, and Natalie, who were raised like sisters. She also leaves behind nieces, nephews, and godchildren, as well as her dear friends, Cindy, Donna, Angie, Aleasia, and Lori and a host of other family members and friends who will miss her dearly.

Cindy was preceded in death by her father, Edward J. Rein; stepfather, Louis “Boogie” Claverie; and grandmother, Beatrice “Gram” Hebert.

Cindy will be remembered for her unwavering work ethic, her listening ear, and her gift of offering sound advice. She was never judgmental, always caring and truly an Angel on earth. There was no one quite like her. She loved with all her heart and left a lasting impression on everyone she met. With a heart of gold, she always had a way of making everyone feel seen and valued. She was the best mother in the world and her love for her family was unmatched. Cindy’s comforting words, "This too shall pass" will echo in the memories of all who knew her, reminding us of her strength and wisdom. Though she will be deeply missed. Her memory will live on forever in the hearts of her loved ones.

Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend a special Mass in Cindy's honor at Holy Ghost Catholic Church, 601 N. Oak St, Hammond, LA 70401 on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at 11:00am. A celebration of life will follow. The family ask for those who attend to wear her favorite colors blue and yellow.
