Connie Albright Burzik, of Ponchatoula, Louisiana, passed away on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the age of 77. She was born on Saturday, March 12, 1949, in Hot Springs, Arkansas.
Connie will be remembered as a woman of deep faith, warmth, and humor. She was very spiritual, loved God, and found comfort and strength in reading her Bible. Those who knew her also knew her as kind, generous, funny, and blessed with a big heart. In her younger years, she was voted wittiest at Picayune Memorial High School, a reflection of the lively spirit and sense of humor that stayed with her throughout her life.
She was a former employee for the City of Slidell. Outside of work, Connie found joy in the simple and meaningful pleasures of life. She loved watching college and professional football, along with many other sports. She enjoyed shopping and going out to eat with family, and she especially loved music, being outdoors, and taking walks. She was also known to enjoy true crime movies. Above all else, Connie loved her children and grandchildren more than anything in the world, and time spent with family was at the heart of her happiest moments.
She is survived by her daughters, Christi Cox Seal and her husband, Tim, and Courtney Cox Galmiche; and her loving companion of over 30 years, B.J. Zubowicz. She is also survived by her sister and brother-in-law, Gay Albright Goucher and Jim Goucher. Connie’s love continues through her grandchildren, Ali Boudreaux, Brandon Boudreaux, Nicholas Seal (Maddy), and Taylor Galmiche-Sutton (Zac), as well as her great-grandchildren, Parker, Maysen, Beckem, Blayke, Everlee, Emmie, and Elaina. Each of them was a treasured part of her life, and her love for her family was constant, joyful, and unwavering. Connie is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John W. and Mary L. Albright and her brother and sister-in-law, Jan and Kathy Albright.
Connie’s memory will live on in the laughter she shared, the faith she carried, and the love she gave so freely to her family and friends. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
A Celebration of Connie's Life will be held in Nashville, Arkansas at a later date.
Arrangements have been entrusted to LN Hughes Funeral Services.
