Charmian Louise Dufrene

Charmian Louise Dufrene, aged 52, passed away on Thursday, March 27, 2025, in Gonzales, Louisiana. She was born on June 6, 1972, in New Orleans, and resided in Independence, Louisiana.

Charmian is lovingly remembered by her daughter and son-in-law, Mariah and Trevor Hyde, her daughter, Taylor Mulkey, her mother, Mary Jo Dufrene, her fiancé, Jeremy Romero, her sister and brother-in-law, Charlotte and Jerry Smith, and her cherished grandchildren, Melodie Mulkey and Ellis Ragusa. Also survived by an abundance of nieces and nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by her father, Willie Dufrene, and her grandparents.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during the visitation in the chapel of LN Hughes Funeral Services, 21400 South I-12 Service Road, Ponchatoula, Louisiana on Saturday, April 5, 2025, from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm, followed by the funeral service at 2:00 pm.

A reception will be held at New Beginnings Christian Church, located at 42418 S. Range Road, Hammond, LA 70403, following the service.
