Chad Loyd Thompson

Chad Loyd Thompson, age 38, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 12th, 2023, with his family lovingly by his side.

Born Friday, April 19th, 1985 to Steven and Gina, Chad lived his young life in Abita Springs, LA with his sister, Angel, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends nearby.

Chad was a beloved son, brother, father, and friend who touched the lives of everyone who knew him. He was known for his loving and warm heart, his playful energy, and his ability to make everyone laugh.

He is survived by his two daughters with Erin, Kinley Leigh Thompson and Adaline Lily Thompson, his mother, Gina Thompson Woodall, his stepdad, Thomas Woodall, his sister, Angel Thompson Pellegrin, his brother-in-law, Joseph Pellegrin, his niece, Hailey Pellegrin, his nephew, Michael Pellegrin, his grandmothers, Diane Signorino Thompson and Betty Thompson and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Steven L. Thompson, and his grandparents, Jerry and Annie Jacobsen and Billy L. Thompson.

Chad’s kindness and generosity was evident in his decision to become an organ donor.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Chad Thompson’s memory to the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency, LOPA at lopa.org.

A Celebration of Chad's Life will be held at a later date.
