Carolyn Ann Poche

Carolyn Ann Poche, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 20, 2026, in Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Born on Friday, August 30, 1946, in Independence, Louisiana, Carolyn filled her years with love, laughter, and cherished moments that will forever be held close to the hearts of those she leaves behind. She treasured her time spent visiting and talking on the phone with family and friends.

A devoted family woman, Carolyn is survived by her daughters, Karen Kendall Chauvin and Sandy Poche Helms and her sons, Chad Poche and Scott Poche. The holidays and birthdays became special occasions, filled with warmth and joy as she celebrated life surrounded by her 13 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. Each of them carried a piece of her spirit and have wonderful memories of her gentle smile and nurturing heart.

Carolyn’s unwavering devotion extended beyond her immediate family. She embraced life with open arms, creating lasting bonds with numerous nieces and nephews, who will always remember her as an affectionate role model and confidante. Her connection with friends and family was the cornerstone of her life, illuminating her journey with laughter and conversation.

Sadly, Carolyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Earl “EJ” Joseph Poche, Jr., whose loss continues to weigh heavily on her family. She is also preceded by her parents, Gertrude Belding and Abner Badon, along with her brothers, Allen Badon, Dempsy Badon, and Matthew Badon. Each of these relationships shaped Carolyn into the remarkable woman she was, and they are together now in the embrace of everlasting peace.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation in the chapel of LN Hughes Funeral Services, 21400 South I-12 Service Road, Ponchatoula, Louisiana on Monday, February 23, 2026, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm and on Tuesday, February 24, 2026, from 8:00 am until 12:00 pm followed by the funeral service at 12:00 pm.

Interment will follow at the Sand Hill Cemetery in Ponchatoula.
