Carl Henning Hursky, a man deeply respected in the Oil and Gas Industry and beloved by many, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, in Hammond, Louisiana, surrounded by his family. Born on Saturday, September 15, 1956, in Cleveland, Ohio, Carl’s life was marked by an unwavering selflessness and generosity, always ready to offer a helping hand to anyone in need. His brilliant mind and exceptional problem-solving skills earned him admiration throughout his career and beyond.

Carl's character was defined not only by his professional accomplishments but also by his warm and giving nature. He found joy in the simple yet fulfilling pleasures of life—riding motorcycles, tending proudly to his yard, spending countless hours building and fixing things in his workshop, and cherishing time with his granddaughter. These hobbies reflected the care and dedication that characterized every aspect of his life.

Carl was a devoted family man, deeply loved and deeply missed. He is survived by his daughter Heather Ann Hursky; his son Henry “Hank” Adam Hursky and Hank’s wife, Lea; his granddaughter Harper Hano; his grandson Casey Naftzger; and his sisters Kate Fox, Mary Smith, and Jane Baker. He is also remembered fondly by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will carry his memory in their hearts.

He is preceded in death by his beloved wife Deborah Duplaga Hursky; his daughter Jessica Gaumer Hursky; his mother Stephanie Hursky Pierce; and his aunt Jeanie Meyers.

A visitation will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. in the chapel of LN Hughes Funeral Services, 21400 South I-12 Service Road, Ponchatoula, Louisiana. Followed by the Celebration of Life at 12:00 p.m., offering family, friends, and all who knew Carl an opportunity to honor and remember a man who gave so much and touched so many lives.

Carl Henning Hursky’s legacy of kindness, intelligence, and dedication endures in the hearts of those who loved him. His memory remains a guiding light, inspiring all who knew him to live with greater compassion and resolve.
