Carl Joseph Bourg

Carl Joseph Bourg passed away on Friday, October 15, 2021, at the age of 83. Carl was born in Dulac, Louisiana, on Tuesday, June 28, 1938. He lived most of his life in Terrebonne Parish and died in Ponchatoula, Louisiana.

Carl is survived by his daughter, Tammy Bourg; sons, Keith Bourg, Jason Bourg, and Corey Bourg; five grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and sister, Joyce Bourg Benoit.

Carl is preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Agnes Picone Bourg; sister, Mary Lou Bourg Boudreaux; and grandson, Zachary Bourg.

Carl enjoyed working. He loved doing his work, thinking about it, and talking about it. He especially enjoyed his work as owner-operator of his former construction and land development company. Carl had a strong work ethic and instilled in his children the value and importance of work.

Carl also enjoyed socializing and eating out at Big Al’s Seafood Restaurant in Houma and Paul’s Café in Ponchatoula.

In keeping with his wishes during his final days, a private service was held to honor Carl’s life and passing.

Arrangements were entrusted to LN Hughes Funeral Services of Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
