Brian Edward Depreo passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023, at his residence in Madisonville, Louisiana, at the age of 45. He was born on Saturday, November 12, 1977, in New Orleans, Louisiana to Eileen Spicuzza Depreo and Eido “Sonny” Depreo, II. Brian was employed as a heavy equipment operator in Louisiana and Mississippi. He enjoyed all sports, playing both baseball and football at Northshore High School, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College, and LSU. Knowledge of the sports led him to umpire and referee little league teams in St. Tammany Parish. He loved the Saints and the LSU Tigers! He will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
Brian is survived by his loving parents, Eileen S. and Sonny Depreo; sisters, Casie D. Mang (Matthew), and Danielle D. Somerville (Marcus); nieces and nephews, Mackenzie, Austin, and Elliott Mang and Elizabeth, Margaret, and William Somerville; grandmother, Yvonne Spicuzza; Godparents, David Depreo (Layne) and Judy Scaglione; and aunts and uncles, Chuck Depreo (Christy), Mary Ann Patton, and Raymond Spicuzza, Jr. Also survived by many cousins, family members and friends.
Preceded in death by grandparents, Raymond Spicuzza, Sr., Eido H. Depreo and Louise Depreo; and uncle, Michael Scaglione; and aunt, Cynthia Spicuzza.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation at St. Anselm Catholic Church in Madisonville, LA on Friday, November 3, 2023, from 9:00 am until 11:00 am with a funeral mass following at 11:00 am.
A private burial will be held at St. Joseph Abbey Cemetery for the immediate family. All are welcome to attend a reception at the Depreo residence.
