Bonnie Mae Stumpf

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Bonnie Stumpf, age 69, of Ponchatoula, LA, who left us peacefully on November 12, 2023.  Born on December 31, 1953, in Oberlin, Ohio, to Florence and Harold Behner. Bonnie spent her childhood on a family farm, surrounded by the beauty and simplicity of nature. This early life on the farm helped shape her nurturing nature, a defining trait that she carried throughout her life.

Bonnie was a woman of many passions and talents. Alongside her love for nurturing plants, she had a deep affinity for music and art. She enjoyed playing the piano and saxophone, and her creative spirit shone brightly in her ceramics, crafting pieces that were both beautiful and unique.

Bonnie dedicated her life to her family, bestowing love and care as a devoted wife to Kenneth and a loving mother to Kenneth Jr. and Sean. Her role as a homemaker was a testament to her strength, love, and dedication. She created a warm, welcoming home where laughter and love were abundant, and her presence was a comforting constant.

A funeral service to celebrate Bonnie's life will be held in the chapel of LN Hughes Funeral Services, 21400 South I-12 Service Road, Ponchatoula on Friday, November 17, 2023, at 11:00 am.  The service will be an opportunity for friends and family to gather, share memories, and honor the life of a remarkable woman whose gentle spirit and loving heart touched many.  The visitation will begin at 9:30 am.  Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Metairie Cemetery, New Orleans.

Her kind and compassionate spirit, unwavering support for her loved ones, and joy in the simple things of life remain an inspiration to us all. Bonnie will be dearly missed, but her memory and the love she shared will forever be cherished in our hearts.
