Bertha “Betty” Olivia Warner Ladner passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 26, 2025, in Covington, Louisiana, at the age of 89. She was born on Friday, July 12, 1935, in Covington and resided there for many years before moving to Ponchatoula, where she lived for over 30 years.
Betty enjoyed babysitting her grandchildren, quilting, and was a huge NASCAR fan, watching the races anytime they were on TV. She was an avid reader, loved old westerns, and enjoyed doing crossword puzzles. Nothing brought her more joy than spending quality time with her family, taking rides in the car, and going out to eat. Having her entire family together for birthdays and holidays was what she truly loved.
Betty is survived by her beloved children, Marlene Sharpe (Dale), Gerry Meyers (Edith), Carolyn Cooper (Charles), Gayle Bond (Greg), Connie Byers (Randy), and Larry Meyers. She is also survived by many grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, family members, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Ladner; her parents, Bulah Tisdale and Carl Warner; her siblings, Earl Warner, John David Warner, Irma Lee Swaggerty, Laura Jean Ayo, and Joy Lynn Griffin; her grandson, Gary Kuhn; and her great grandson, Quinton Kuhn.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend the visitation in the chapel of LN Hughes Funeral Services, 21400 South I-12 Service Road, Ponchatoula, Louisiana, on Monday, June 30, 2025, beginning at 9:30 am until 10:00 am. The graveside service will follow in Bedico Community Cemetery, Ponchatoula, Louisiana.
