Bertha "Joyce" Berne Prevost

Bertha “Joyce” Berne Prevost passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Tuesday, December 20, 2022, in Hammond, Louisiana, at the age of 82.  She was born on Sunday, March 24, 1940, to the late Olive Fitzgerald and Fred E. Berne in Tangipahoa Parish and resided in Hammond, Louisiana. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Joyce is survived by her beloved family: her children, Ryan K. Prevost (Sandra), Renee Willie, and Leesa Prevost; grandchildren, Alicia, Dustin, Ruston, Jocelyn, and McKayla; great grandchildren, Wyatt, Baylor, Colson, Aubrey, Sutton, Kia, William, and Jude; sisters, Freddie Painting and Judy Berne. Also survived by many family members and dear friends.

Preceded in death by her beloved husband, Eddie Ken Prevost; parents, Olive Fitzgerald and Fred E. Berne; and sister, Eileen Landry.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Service at The Pentecostals of Loranger, 20155 Milkplant Road, Loranger, Louisiana 70446 on Tuesday, December 27, 2022, at 12:00 pm.  The visitation will be held at church from 10:00 am until the service time of 12:00 pm.  Pastor Denny Jenkins officiating.

Interment will follow in Narretto Cemetery, Loranger, Louisiana.
